Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems in both residential settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair gas appliances such as boilers, cookers, and heating systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform installations and repairs.
  • Carry out plumbing tasks related to gas systems as necessary.
  • Perform assembly tasks for various gas-related components.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Engage in heavy lifting when required for the installation or removal of equipment.
  • Drive commercial vehicles as needed for transportation of tools and materials to job sites.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
  • Experience in plumbing and carpentry is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely.
  • A Full UK valid driving licence is mandatory.
