Overview

Future Care Solutions are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support and care to individuals in their own homes in and around the Letchworth Area. This role is vital in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of patient care, including senior care and specialised support for conditions such as Alzheimer's and dementia.

Duties

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life
  • Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Implement behaviour management techniques as required for clients with special needs
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all hygiene standards are upheld
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals

Experience

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is preferred
  • Familiarity with caregiving practices for seniors, including hospice care and dementia care
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures is advantageous
  • A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting clients as needed
  • Experience in childcare may also be considered an asset
