ADC Logistics LTD are currently looking for self-employed Trade Plate drivers to join our growing team. We have been specialising in the movement of vehicles between dealerships and customers across the UK for over 14 years.

Position Details

  • Self-employed basis
  • FULL TRAVEL EXPENSES REIMBURSED
  • Collecting and delivering vehicles around the UK (all vehicles can be driven on a standard UK license).

Job Role

This role consists of collecting a vehicle from one location and delivering to another. Public transport will then be used to travel to collect the next vehicle. Public transport should be pre-booked and planned where possible to ensure minimum expense with maximum efficiency. Appraisals of vehicles are to be completed on every collection and delivery.

· Please be aware that this job is not 9-5, there will be early starts and late finishes from time to time.

  • We plan for first drop off to be 8:30 am so early starts are required.
  • Last car collected each day is a carry-over car to be delivered the following morning.
  • Appraisals to be carried out to a high standard on collection and delivery of all vehicles.
  • Develop a rapport with customers and dealerships to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Call customers to inform of collection and delivery times in advance.
  • Insurance and AA roadside assistance provided.
  • Competitive rates of pay based on a per mile basis. Average earnings between £500-£600 per week based on how much work is wanted by the individual - those who start early and plan efficiently can earn even higher.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drivers to work under their own initiative, planning the efficient and economical use of public transport between jobs.
  • Must be self-motivated, drivers will be working on their own. Although, the office and out-of-hours team are on call if you encounter any problems.
  • Must be computer literate as a mobile phone is provided to carry out appraisals of vehicles, noting damage present and key information.
  • Must have attention to detail when completing appraisals, submitting paperwork and expenses.
  • Must have good phone etiquette when calling customers, dealerships and buyers.
  • Must be available Monday – Friday.
  • Must be smartly presented.
  • Must have minimum 2 years driving experience.
  • Should be over the age of 30 for insurance coverage. Applicants over 25 are considered subject to experience.
  • Must have off-road parking at home to meet insurance stipulations.
  • Occasional overnight stays may be required but only if agreed in advance, if so, hotel cost and evening meal will be re-imbursed.
  • Previous trade plate experience highly desired but not essential.
