Overview

We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic hospitality environment, contributing to guest satisfaction and the overall success of the hotel.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
  • Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
  • Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
  • Process payments accurately using the hotel's booking system
  • Maintain accurate records of guest details and preferences
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared to high standards
  • Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Uphold hotel policies and procedures at all times to ensure safety and security

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Ability to speak multiple languages or be bilingual is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Friendly, approachable manner with a genuine desire to assist guests
  • Knowledge of guest services and hospitality standards
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required
  • Proficiency in using reservation management systems and basic computer applications
