Summary

We are seeking a talented Technical Designer to join our team in the UK. Based in Watford, this role is vital in translating design concepts into detailed technical drawings and specifications that meet our high standards of quality and precision. Your expertise will support our mission to deliver exceptional architectural glass systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed technical drawings and schematics for bespoke architectural glass projects using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure accurate translation of design concepts.
  • Assist in creating 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp, Revit, or NavisWorks.
  • Review project specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Support the estimation team with technical input during project planning.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and documentation.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers to clarify technical details as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Technical Designer or similar role within the architectural glass or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and schematic design.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
