Position Summary
Why join our team?Samsung's Digital & Omnichannel Marketing team is committed to activating the best execution for all MX products (mobile, tablet, wearables, audio, computing and accessories). This role defines and controls what consumers "see", "feel" and "hear" about Samsung MX product & services within our Channel partners.
The Omnichannel Marketing team for MX are responsible for leading the channel partner marketing relationships and end-to-end execution across all owned and paid touchpoints. Over 14 B2C and 20 B2B accounts across Operators, MVNO's Retailers, Distributors and Sim Free Pure Player channels encompassing paid ATL, retail high street, below the line retention initiatives and Contact Centre share of business. Our channel partner's success in ranging, promoting and launching our MX portfolio is at the heart of what we do. By ensuring we commercialise our marketing, deliver execution leadership and drive innovation, we continue to defend our stronghold in the UK market.
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
Digital campaign lead for MX product division across Channel Marketing (Smartphone, Smartwatch, Headphones, Laptops & Tablets) with 1x direct report.
Define EU digital performance strategy, creating high-quality and locally relevant assets to help drive lead generation across advertising, email marketing, social media and any further growth avenues either directly or through our retail partners.
Lead Digital Marketing strategy around SEO, PPC, Keyword Optimization, E mail marketing, Social Media Marketing, Paid search & Video Marketing.
Own agency relationships and budgets to deliver ROI through customer-centric co-branded marketing campaigns.
Work collaboratively with all internal partners to activate "best-in-class" partner execution for all major MX product launches and in lifecycle activation in line with UK strategy and Key Performance Indicators
Lead the wider digital marketing innovation strategy and roadmap, ensuring that we develop our team capability, tools and processes to continually bench and improve our digital performance.
Measure the effectiveness of marketing content, and consistently test & learn how to improve KPIs.
Build scalable processes and mechanisms to allow for simpler, faster and better execution specifically across digital performance.
Own the digital reporting and analysis agenda, developing a roadmap for data automation (with our Insights team), as well as develop a framework for campaign and channel analysis to shape our strategy and decision making ability.
On board new technology partners across a range of Online Retail work streams from content automation, Paid Media monitoring and more.
Identification of opportunities to enhance and innovate our digital capability within Samsung, our agency partners or with UK Retail partners.
Alignment of co-marketing campaign planning with seasonal, promotional and product launch timelines.
Ensure campaign activity is delivered on time, in budget and within Samsung brand standards.
Work with our internal and external analytics teams to deliver excellent reporting, forecasting and activation monitoring.
Communication of results of activity back to the business.
Your key people management responsibilities – Leading Others Only
In conjunction with your peers, act as a real leader, inspiring change and implement new ways of working & thinking across the Omni Channel Team
Lead a team of one (1) along with marketing agency support that will be the day-to-day point of contact for the partners and sales counterparts within the portfolio with end to end responsibility for the smooth running of these partnerships across all aspects including marketing, operational processes, Marketing insights & reporting and any other contractual obligations
Embraces invention without precedence while leveraging proven approaches
Identifies & assesses risks quickly, building contingency plans to mitigate or manage themSupport the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.
Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.
Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT's and relevant business updates.
Manage the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.
Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.
To be accountable for ensuring your team are compliant with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the company values.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
8+ years of relevant work experience in digital marketing for technology products or services
Strong leadership skills and proven ability to motivate change
Formal people management experience leading a team
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, technology, or relevant field of study
Demonstrated understanding of a marketing funnel and how to align campaign strategies with customer journeys
Experience building and managing reports or dashboards within a CRM (e.g. Salesforce) - preferred
Experience using data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Tableau, QuickSight) to identify campaign insights and optimize performance- preferred.
Consumer Electronics experience is an advantage
Proven experience of driving clear ROI
Demonstrable experience of developing new opportunities and technologies for brands
Strong agency management and delegation experience
Ability to multitask and can demonstrate how you thrive in a fast-paced environment
Able to navigate large and complex organisations
Customer centric creative thinker who is comfortable challenging status quo
Fantastic presentation skills
Excellent written, verbal, PowerPoint and Excel skills
Worked in an Omni channel environment and can demonstrate how you can add value to the customer experience in this space
Strong negotiating and relationship building skills
Initiative and energy to present ideas proactively
Excellent communicator with solid presentation skills

360 marketing experience, with a focus on digital (and clear understanding of digital marketing metrics)
