Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a supportive and respectful environment. This role involves assisting seniors and individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care settings, a strong understanding of patient needs, and a genuine passion for improving quality of life through personalized care. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor and observe patient conditions, noting any changes or concerns for appropriate action
  • Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
  • Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, vital signs, and progress notes
  • Follow established care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures

Skills

  • Proven experience in senior or long-term care environments; group home or assisted living experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
  • Compassionate caregiving approach with patience, empathy, and respect for resident dignity
  • Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.80 per hour
