Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, bone, and prepare various types of meat, poultry, and fish according to established specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure all meat products are handled, stored, and displayed in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, including tools, equipment, and work surfaces.
• Monitor product quality and freshness, rotating stock to minimize waste.
• Provide excellent customer service by offering expert advice on meat cuts, cooking methods, and product selection.
• Operate and maintain butchery equipment, ensuring proper use and care.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock control.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and sales goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter in a retail, supermarket, or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of meat types, cutting techniques, and portion control.
• Understanding of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and safe knife handling.
