Job Description

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer required to join a global, engineering manufacturer.
 
The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on packaging machinery, strapping machines, stretch wrappers, conveyor systems, and other electromechanical products across the UK, predominantly south of the UK, north of the M4.

 
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer will ideally have a technical background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and experience servicing, repairing or maintaining electromechanical equipment however full training will be provided.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer

  • To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on packaging machinery and electromechanical equipment at customer sites covering UK wide but predominantly south of the UK.
  • The Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of packaging machinery, strapping machines, stretch wrappers, conveyor systems and other electromechanical products. Full product training provided.
  • Installing electromechanical packaging machinery at customer sites.
  • Perform breakdown fault finding and repairs on various electromechanical equipment.
  • Commutable across the UK- predominantly the south of the UK. 

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer Requirements

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering background.
  • Prior experience servicing, repairing or maintaining electromechanical equipment is advantageous however full product training will be provided.
  • HND, HNC, Degree or Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineer would be advantageous but not a requirement.
  • Good working knowledge of programming / PLC's is advantageous but not a requirement.
  • Willingness to travel and commute across the UK – predominantly south of the UK north of the M4.
