Job Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals in a variety of settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary responsibility will be to support clients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Help with assisting clients with feeding when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and progress in accordance with care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT systems relevant to care documentation.
  • Foster a supportive environment that encourages social interaction and emotional well-being.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English to interact with clients and team members effectively.
  • Experience or knowledge of working in a care home setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes is beneficial.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
