Job Description:

Movers Choice Ltd are expanding and looking for a dependable Driver's Mate / Porter to join our busy two-man delivery and removals team.

This is a hands-on role involving furniture delivery, assembly, and occasional full house moves. You'll be assisting the driver with loading, unloading, and setting up items such as sofas, tables, chairs, and wardrobes, as well as helping customers relocate their belongings safely and efficiently.

We're looking for someone who's confident using basic tools like drills and socket sets, can follow instructions well, and enjoys working in a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same.

If you take pride in getting things done properly, can handle furniture safely, and enjoy teamwork — you'll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the driver with loading/unloading furniture and household items
• Deliver, assemble, and position furniture (sofas, tables, wardrobes, etc.)
• Use hand tools (drill, socket set, screwdriver) for basic assembly work
• Support with full or part house moves when required
• Handle goods with care and maintain a professional image
• Communicate clearly with customers and your driver
• Follow company procedures and maintain good time management

Requirements:

• Previous experience in removals, delivery, or furniture assembly preferred
• Able to use hand tools confidently (drill, socket set, screwdriver, etc.)
• Physically fit and capable of handling heavy items safely
• Reliable, organised, and focused on quality work
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Weekend or alternate weekend availability essential
