Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, organised and friendly Housekeeper to join our home in Aughton, Ormskirk. The successful candidate will be responsible for general house keeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, supporting with childcare for 3 children aged 14, 4 and 2 and general support running erins. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a warm environment on flexible hours.

Minimum hours will be 30 hours per week but if we need extra support with childcare or extra cleaning then more hours will be offered. The working hours will be agreed a week in advance with you.

Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
  • Change bed linens and replenish amenities as required
  • Ensure all areas are maintained to high standards of hygiene and presentation
  • Assist with laundry duties, including washing, folding, and organising linen and towels
  • Restock supplies in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
  • Childcare/support in looking after the children

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping and childcare is required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
  • Nice-to-have skills include cooking and working in a care environment

This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating clean, comfortable spaces for others and working with young children. The eldest child has a brain injury and as such has seizures, it would be beneficial if you had experience in a care environment but not essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
