Introduction

We are looking for proactive and exceptional Electronics Engineers to join our innovation engineering team, to push technical boundaries and share complex ideas.

As part of our talented engineering team, you'll design ground-breaking medical electronics that improve lives worldwide. Your work will shape the future of healthcare and advance your own expertise through hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.

The role

At Cambridge Consultants, we help our clients develop breakthrough technology across a broad range of industries:

  • Healthcare
  • Defence and Security

You will be working alongside multidisciplinary project teams to take ownership of and deliver the electronics elements of complex technical challenges. Our clients range from innovative startups to established multinational organisations and government bodies spanning both medical and non-medical sectors.

At Cambridge Consultants, no two projects are the same. We focus on innovation rather than iteration which means each project creates new and unique challenges.

You will have access to our extensive in-house facilities which play a key role in supporting hardware development.

We are committed to the ongoing development of our employees and offer comprehensive in-house training programmes. We foster a culture that encourages our teams to embrace new responsibilities. What will you be doing?

We undertake a diverse range of projects, so we are seeking an adaptable, hands-on Electronics Engineer. You will thrive in this role if you are a self-motivated individual who embraces challenges and is committed to delivering excellence.

In this position your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting or leading the scoping of new projects by understanding client requirements and identifying technical challenges

  • Working with in-house technicians to develop professional, manufacturable PCB designs
  • Production and implementation of test plans to evaluate technologies and verify product functionality against requirements
  • Debug, test and evaluate designs, and support integration alongside other team members
What you can bring?

We are looking for an electronics professional with relevant prior experience. The specific terms of the role will be tailored to match the depth of your expertise and the capabilities you demonstrate during our interview process. We are looking for someone with a proactive 'hands on' approach and enjoys getting physically involved in the technical work.
