About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our small and dedicated team on a five month fixed term contract, to be the first point of contact for our supporters and donors — helping to grow, inspire, and retain our community of givers.
In this role, you will:
- Engage and inspire supporters – be the first point of contact for donors, providing excellent supporter care and building lasting relationships.
- Deliver exceptional supporter journeys – manage and grow our community of regular donors through personalised communications that deepen engagement and improve retention.
- Drive individual giving growth – help meet revenue and retention goals by supporting donor acquisition campaigns and managing ongoing giving programmes.
- Create compelling content – craft inspiring copy for emails, web pages, and social media to attract and retain supporters.
- Deliver impactful fundraising campaigns – collaborate across UK and global teams to plan, launch, and evaluate digital fundraising initiatives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for global issues, women's empowerment and human rights who has excellent communication skills, including written and verbal to engage and enthuse supporters for Women for Women International.
We are looking for someone to join the team who is creative and able to identify and maximise opportunities and can build and manage successful relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Above all, you'll be a team player who's motivated to build relationships and contribute to a mission-driven organisation.
Previous charity sector experience is desirable; however, transferable talents will also be considered for this role.

Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising Marketing and Communications (90%)
- Meet agreed revenue and retention goals for the Individual Giving budget within agreed expenditure budgets, including but not limited to Stand With Her and monthly giving.
- Work with the Head of Marketing & Communications and Fundraising & Global Communications Manager to deliver agreed targets and KPIs for each Individual Giving income stream.
- Support the Digital Marketing Lead to create and deliver content for both website (including copywriting, page editing and design) and social media channels.
- Support fundraising campaigns and projects throughout the year.
- Develop copy for email, website, social media, print and advertising to both recruit new donors and inspire existing supporters.
- Support delivery of a holistic digital fundraising strategy, including development of website pages and content creation for email and social media.
- Deliver excellent supporter care for all Individual Giving donors, including management of our external email boxes to ensure timely response to queries, donor thanking and appreciation, and delivering engaging supporter journey communications to ensure high levels of customer service and maintain minimum levels of attrition.
- Support the recruitment, cultivation and relationship management of our Individual Giving donors, including but not limited to; individuals, community groups and women's networks and corporate supporters.
- Support relationship and project management of external suppliers to produce and deliver relevant materials for Individual Giving donor recruitment, retention, engagement, presentations, leaflets, and newsletters.
- Work closely with colleagues to deliver cohesive, long-term supporter journeys for community fundraisers.
- Ensure all income from Individual Giving sources is coded accurately and expenditure is tracked.
- Represent the organisation when needed at external engagements with existing and prospective supporters.
Database Management (10%)
- Processing Individual Giving donations from both online and offline sources.
- Responsible for the creation of donor accounts, campaigns and tracking for Individual Givers.
- Support monthly finance admin, compiling income data from various income streams.
- Proactively manage the database to ensure that it is an effective tool for fundraising and supporter recruitment and retention.
- Maintain procedures for data entry, data selections and reporting ensuring that GDPR requirements are met.
- Generate accurate timely data selections to support our acquisition and retention strategies.
- Track the daily, weekly, and monthly performance of fundraising campaigns. Produce end-of-fundraising campaign reports and analysis.

- Be responsible for personal learning and development and participate in supervision, training, and meetings as required.
- Flexibility to support the wider organisation as required.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as may be required.
Required
- A passion for global issues, women's empowerment and human rights.
- Passion for digital communications (email, website and social media) and stays up to date on newest trends and is excited about finding new creative ways of communicating.
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal to engage and enthuse supporters and ensure the highest standard of supporter care.
- Able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Exceptional organisational skills. The ability to prioritise with impressive attention to detail and maintain accuracy when working on multiple projects and managing deadlines effectively.
- Ability to build and manage successful relationships with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external.
- Accountable team player, who can work across a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong computer skills, including experience working with Word, Excel and databases. Experience of using image graphic creation systems - Canva.
- Analytical mind, constantly seeking to improve results and achieve goals.
- Flexible and willing to learn.
Preferred
- Previous experience working in a charity.
- Previous experience working in a marketing/fundraising team.
- Project management experience.
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems – preferably Salesforce.
- Experience of using mass email marketing system – preferably Marketing Cloud.
- Experience using a website content management system (creating webpages).
- Experience of using video editing systems - Photoshop and Canva.
- Experience of supplementary social media tools i.e. Later for post scheduling and experience of setting up digital ads, specifically Facebook Ads

We offer 25 days annual leave increasing by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 30 days, plus bank holidays.
It is essential to save for your retirement. All permanent employees are eligible to join our group pension plan up to a maximum employer contribution of 7%.
We work on a hybrid basis, you will be set up to work from home and have the option to work from our office in Bermondsey whenever you want. We enjoy being back in the office a day or two a week to meet colleagues face to face.
