Senior Laminator/Composite Technician

The Senior Laminator reports to the Clean Room Supervisor.

The primary task is to ensure the smooth every day running of the clean room production, ensuring that personal targets are met to the correct standard and within target time parameters.

  • The key areas of responsibility and accountability for the role are:
  • Support the Clean Room to deliver the laminating production targets.
  • Laminate components as defined by the daily schedule.
  • Assist colleagues where necessary to maximise Production.
  • Ensure the personal work area and Clean Room is clean and tidy at end of every shift.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of the autoclave when required.
  • Assist with kit cutting when required.
  • Assist with cracking out when required.

Additional requirements:

  • Ensure delivery of individual production targets.
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering drawing, laminate manuals and written instruction.
  • Maximise personal productivity.
  • Feedback to Clean Room Supervisor and Engineer for continual improvements on project.
  • Work towards and implement best practice - For example, unfinished laminating must be left under vacuum at end of shift.
  • Keen eye and attention to detail.

Person Profile:

  • Minimum of five year's work experience (desirable)
  • Minimum GCSE Level education or equivalent. (A level desirable)
  • Good operational and organizational skills
  • Well presented with a positive, proactive and professional approach
  • Sense of responsibility and integrity
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A flexible approach to working hours

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
