Sunderland, Sunderland, United Kingdom tombola Full time £35,000 - £45,000 per year

Junior Financial Analyst

Location: UK, Gibraltar, or Dublin (Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent

We're looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and play an important role in helping us make smart, data-led decisions across tombola.

Working closely with our FP&A Manager, you'll analyse costs, monitor budgets, and prepare financial reports that give real insight into how we operate. You'll be at the heart of how we connect the dots between finance and the wider business — helping translate data into decisions that drive growth.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a strong head for numbers who's keen to develop their career in financial planning and analysis within a fast-moving, digital business.

What you'll be doing

  • Analysing internal costings and supplier invoices to support accurate reporting.
  • Tracking departmental spend and ensuring alignment with budgets.
  • Partnering with teams across the business to review expenditure and share insights.
  • Supporting the month-end close process alongside the accounting team.
  • Preparing timely, accurate reports for senior management.
  • Identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost improvement.
  • Tracking and reporting on key financial KPIs such as cost per head and spend per player.

What we're looking for

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Experience in cost analysis, budget tracking, or financial reporting.
  • Understanding of accounting processes and month-end cycles.
  • A proactive, curious mindset and a passion for learning.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.

No prior FP&A experience is required — just a solid foundation in finance and a desire to grow.

Why tombola?

At tombola, we build our own games, nurture our people, and make decisions guided by data and creativity. You'll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking finance team where your work makes a real difference, and where curiosity and innovation are always encouraged.
