Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with students of various ages, providing tailored support in their educational journey. This would be to teach Recorder 1:1 at a Primary school in Lancaster, BB9

Tuesdays - during the school day

Duties

  • Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in specific subjects or skills.
  • Assess students' learning needs and develop personalised lesson plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences to motivate students.
  • Collaborate with educators and parents to support the overall development of the child.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.

Skills

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational principles.
  • Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and adaptability in various situations.
  • Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous for supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and engage with students and parents.
