Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at Westover Green Community School and Autism Centre, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura's mission statement of "Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish". We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.

Purpose of the role of a HLTA (see the JD for accountabilities):

The HLTA will:

• Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
• Promote pupils independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
• Give support to pupils, individually or in groups or as a whole class, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.

What You'll Bring to Futura:

We are looking for a motivated and inspirational HLTA who:

• Has a good standard of education (5 x GCSE's – English and Maths C or above)
• Has experience of applying a range of strategies to support pupils in the classroom with the minimum of supervision
• Has experience of planning and leading teaching and learning activities (under supervision) relevant within a primary school setting. Has the ability to supervise a group of pupils
• Has knowledge of how to successfully lead learning activities for a group or class of pupils
• Has knowledge of how to support learners in accessing the curriculum in accordance with the SEND code of practice
• Demonstrate a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.
• Aligns with our trust-wide values by bringing a positive, collaborative approach to their work and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.
