The Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Area Manager to join our senior operations team. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you'll play a key role in supporting our General Managers and Operations Managers across the group. Your mission will be to ensure that every hotel operates smoothly, delivers outstanding guest experiences, and consistently upholds RAD Hotel Group standards. The role itself will involve getting hands on within our venues and all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and guide hotel General Managers and Operations Managers in achieving operational excellence across all sites.
  • Ensure RAD brand and service standards are consistently delivered in every aspect of the guest journey.
  • Monitor performance metrics, operational KPIs, and financial results, providing hands-on support where needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction, quality, and profitability.
  • Lead by example to foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture.
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations on business planning, project implementation, and operational strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Identify and develop talent across the group, supporting training and succession planning.
  • Support recruitment of talent to the business.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a senior hotel operations role
  • A natural leader with strong communication, coaching, and people development skills.
  • Commercially astute with a solid understanding of hotel operations, finance, and performance drivers.
  • Passionate about hospitality with a hands-on approach and keen eye for detail.
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
