Job Description

Castle Employment Group  is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful CNC machining and manufacturing business for an experienced and hands-on Production Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to lead a well-established manufacturing site in North Yorkshire and a rare opportunity to join a thriving company, with a possible progression path to General Manager for the right candidate



Key Responsibilities: 



Oversee all day-to-day production operations within the workshop Develop and manage efficient production plans and schedules Lead and supervise a small workshop team, ensuring high performance Monitor product quality and ensure customer specifications are met Coordinate materials, labour, and equipment usage Maintain accurate production records and KPI reporting Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments Support implementation and use of production software (Emax) Uphold Health & Safety standards and ensure staff are properly equipped Drive continuous improvement in production processes 

What We're Looking For: 

Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role within manufacturing Strong practical understanding of workshop processes and machinery Effective leadership and people management skills Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving abilities Hands-on, proactive approach to daily operations Experience using production systems/software (Emax experience beneficial) 

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a background in CNC machining, who can bring first-hand knowledge of machining processes, tooling and programming and who understand how to interpret what they see on the shop floor.
