Mayday Electrical Solutions Ltd is an NICEIC approved contractor operating across London. We specialise in maintenance, testing and small installations for both domestic and commercial clients. Our focus is quality, professionalism and long term client relationships.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated trainee who is currently studying electrical installation or recently completed their course. You will work directly with myself as the company director and receive hands on, real site training from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist qualified electricians with daily installation and maintenance tasks
• Support testing, inspection and documentation under supervision
• Learn practical wiring, fault finding and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and professional working environment
• Develop competence to carry out independent work as you progress

Requirements

• Currently on or recently completed a Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical Installation course
• Strong ambition to progress and build a long term career
• Reliable, punctual and eager to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Motivated to take responsibility for a company van when ready
• Able to travel across London via public transport to meet engineers during early training
• Must be able to outline expectations and provide a clear two year development plan

• You cannot reliably reach London sites by 8am using public transport

Progression Path

Our aim is for you to be working independently within six months. At that point you will receive your own company van and progress towards a senior electrician salary based on performance and competence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing, testing and maintaining electrical systems in line with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Carry out minor electrical installations in domestic and commercial settings
• Conduct routine inspections and support with electrical testing
• Communicate professionally with clients and maintain safe working practices

Essential Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation)
• Full UK driving licence held for at least twelve months

Salary

£120 to £200 per day depending on experience
