We are looking for a self-motivated and creative Learning and Engagement Facilitator to join our team at Chatsworth and help deliver our exciting Celebrating the Cascade project: This 30-month role is a unique opportunity to work across formal, informal, and community learning to design and deliver meaningful engagement experiences for schools, families, and community groups.

About the Role

As a key member of our Learning and Engagement team, you will support and deliver a diverse programme of learning and engagement activities. Some new learning and engagement activities have been designed during the development phase , and we will deliver these and more in the next project phase.

You will work both onsite at the Chatsworth Estate and facilitate outreach in partner schools and community groups, using immersive and inclusive approaches to bring the Cascade project's various themes to life. During the development phase these themes have included cross curricular learning strands such as STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths), history and geographical skills relating to the natural and built environment and health and wellbeing.

You will build and nurture long-term relationships with schools, teachers, families, and local organisations, co-producing content and helping extend our reach through collaboration and cross-curricular initiatives.

You will contribute to the planning, evaluation and continuous improvement of the Cascade project and train and support casual facilitators and volunteers involved in learning delivery.

This is a people-focused, delivery-driven role that blends creativity, organisation, and partnership working to have real impact.

This is a part-time role in the project delivery phase is 22.5 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed) for a fixed-term duration of 30 months.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Creative and confident in designing and delivering inspiring learning experiences
  • Experienced in working with schools, families, or community groups
  • Skilled in inclusive, cross-curricular, and outdoor learning approaches
  • Organised and self-motivated, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Committed to access, inclusion and the wellbeing potential of heritage spaces
  • Ideally, you will have a background or interest in heritage, history, environment, or science and geography, and you must be willing to travel.

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
