About the Role

IN2 Consult is partnering with a high growth, PE-Backed Client on the recruitment of an
Interim Financial Reporting Lead
to support them through a busy year-end statutory reporting and audit process as well as the ongoing project for UK SOX readiness.

The role takes ownership of our year-end statutory reporting process and ensure full compliance with IFRS requirements. This is a pivotal role for an experienced technical accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and can provide immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
    under
    IFRS
    , ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
  • Draft and review technical accounting position papers
    on key standards including
    IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments)
    ,
    IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition)
    , and
    IFRS 16 (Leases)
    .
  • Act as primary liaison with external auditors
    , managing the audit process and addressing all technical queries effectively.
  • Drive the enhancement of internal controls
    , governance, and financial reporting processes in readiness for
    UK SOX compliance
    .
  • Partner with senior finance leadership
    to ensure consistent accounting treatment and alignment with group policies.
  • Support ad hoc projects and process improvements related to technical accounting, disclosure, and compliance.

Candidate Profile

  • Professional Qualification:
    ACA / ICAEW / ACCA (or equivalent).
  • Background:
    Trained in a
    Top 10 accounting firm
    , with
    significant post-practice industry experience
    in
    technical accounting and financial reporting
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    IFRS frameworks
    , particularly IFRS 9, 15, and 16.
  • Proven experience in
    preparing statutory accounts
    and
    supporting external audits
    .
  • Track record of
    implementing or strengthening internal controls
    frameworks, ideally in preparation for
    UK SOX
    .
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting issues for non-finance audiences.
