Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on mechanical equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve system designs and enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in various environments.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and machinery.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.
- A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a mechanical environment is desirable.
