Job Description

The Sr Power BI lead is tasked with converting raw data into insights that support decision-making within the organization. This position requires experience in data analysis, visualization, and report creation using Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their data needs.
  • Conduct data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all reports and dashboards.
  • Create and maintain complex DAX queries and calculations to support advanced data analysis.
  • Optimize report performance to ensure quick loading times and efficient use of resources.
  • Implement row-level security and data access controls to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all reports, data models, and processes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and IT professionals.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in team meetings, project planning sessions, and code reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Power BI development, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards in a business environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other cloud platforms and data technologies.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure or related technologies.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Experience In power bi shared data set
  • Working experience power bi reports with tabular model is added advantage
  • Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
