Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults accurately and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Replace worn or damaged parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety standards are upheld during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as required.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are desirable.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to maintain high standards of operational performance through expert mechanical work.
