Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations, ensuring that all food preparation areas are well-organised and hygienic. This position is essential for supporting chefs and kitchen staff in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Ensure that all dishes and cooking equipment are cleaned promptly and effectively.
  • Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed.
  • Help with the organisation of stock and supplies, ensuring everything is stored correctly.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times.
  • Assist in receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met consistently.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a busy kitchen setting.
  • Experience in hospitality or culinary roles would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently under pressure.
