What does the role of Yard Operative at RECO Hoist Hire & Sales entail?

The role of Yard Operative at RECO Hoist Hire & Sales primarily involves loading and unloading delivery vehicles, organising and managing space/equipment, and assisting with goods in and goods out including making sure quality control and the necessary paperwork is in order. You must adhere to safety regulations and company procedures while maintaining equipment and ensuring a tidy work environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Picking and preparing equipment

- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles using mechanical aids or manual labour
- Sorting, servicing, and maintaining stock levels
- Ensuring Working safely and responsibly, adhering to company health and safety protocols and environmental guidelines.

  • Able to work in a busy logistics environment

  • Capable of lifting heavy materials for a prolonged period of time

  • Must have an enthusiasm for the task in hand and a willingness to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines

  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team to enhance our service to our customers

  • Must have the ability to read and pick numerous items from picklists

  • Counterbalance and/or telescopic forklift licence; (Not essential)
