The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Process Engineer with a preference for clean water projects and a passion for sustainable solutions?

Join Stantec and help us tackle the urgent water resource and climate change challenges facing our communities
From preparing utilities for summers with exceptionally low rainfall in the North, to shaping the UK's long term water supply resilience through water transfer, storage and recycling projects in the South – our clean water process team are involved in exciting projects that really mean something for the communities we serve.

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our clean water team across a range of offices in the North of England. Whether recently chartered or an expert in the field, we'd like to hear from people as excited as we are about how we can solve the water supply and resilience challenges facing the industry.

The opportunities we can offer span both AMP cycle and Strategic Resource Options schemes, and as we operate as an integrated national team, you'll be able to work on projects across the UK with a primary focus on our clients in the North of England, Scotland and Ireland.

These projects could range from new treatment plant design to long term strategic resource schemes or optimising existing assets to deploying source to tap solutions for emerging threats like PFAS. In terms of day-to-day activities, our engineers do everything from onsite test work to new system design and utility business plans support – there's really something for everyone.

We are a global organisation and are proactively pursuing "a one team" approach with our global colleagues.

What We're Looking For

  • Want to be part of the solutions to water catchment, resource scarcity, treatment and emerging pollutant challenges
  • Have worked in a clean water process specialism (e.g. design, science or operation)
  • Have experience in, or are looking to learn, on site testing techniques to help us improve existing asset performance (e.g. jar testing)
  • Enjoy working collaboratively in a team setting, and want to be part of a growing & nurturing UK and global team
  • Are passionate about applying innovation along with industry best practice to deliver the best results for the water sector
