Working Foreman – Piling Works

We are currently seeking an experienced Working Foreman to oversee and participate in piling works and cofferdam installations on key infrastructure projects across Scotland.

This is a hands-on role for a highly competent individual with strong leadership skills, extensive piling experience, and the ability to deliver works safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead site teams in the delivery of piling operations and cofferdam installations
  • Operate and supervise the use of side grip vibratory hammers
  • Work with and install long piles safely and accurately
  • Coordinate with site management and engineers to ensure programme and quality requirements are met
  • Maintain high standards of site safety, organisation, and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with Scottish Water standards where applicable

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in piling and cofferdam works
  • Hands-on experience using side grip hammers and handling long piles
  • Valid CSCS card
  • 360 Excavator ticket (including lifting operations)
  • Dumper/Roller ticket (preferred)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Full understanding of safe systems of work and ability to implement them onsite

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CAT 1 & CAT 2 (Service Avoidance)
  • Confined Spaces (City & Guilds-accredited)
  • Previous experience working in a Scottish Water environment or similar
  • SSSTS or SMSTS (Site Supervisor/Manager Safety Training Scheme)
