Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various logistical tasks. The Driver will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Deliver goods to various locations promptly and securely, ensuring accurate documentation of deliveries.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilising warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards at all times during operations.
  • Assist with warehouse duties when required, supporting overall logistical functions.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles.
  • Strong driving skills with a valid driver licence .
  • Mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor repairs if necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively.
  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for handling loading/unloading tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to navigate routes confidently using GPS or maps.
  • Organised with good time management skills to meet tight schedules. This position offers an engaging opportunity for a dedicated driver with a focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery within a dynamic environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.21-£14.16 per hour

Expected hours: 38.75 per week
