Kestrel ward has an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Practitioner to join the team. Kestrel ward is a female adult acute ward on the new Rivers development, that has a strong philosophy of holistic, trauma-informed care.

As an Assistant Practitioner you would be an important part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team. Working with the MDT to support service delivery, lead on improvements projects and support junior staff. You will provide support to services users and their carer's. There is the opportunity for further development through the medication administration course and nursing pathway.

We are looking for a compassionate individual who is committed to providing high quality inpatient care. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work well with other professionals in planning and delivering care.

Essential criteria
  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care/mental health or apprenticeship in H&SC/mental health L5
  • Care certificate or relevant equivalent.
Experience

  • Working with Service Users with mental health needs
  • Working within Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
Skills

  • Ability to communicate widely in a clear manner
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Satisfactory verbal and written English language skills
