PROFILE:
You have a Master's degree from an Engineering University (Aeronautical/Space Engineering, Computer Science…), and you have significant experience in your field
You are recognised as a team player and enjoy collaborative work (co-engineering)
You are an effective communicator (especially in case of conflict)
You are a mentor willing to share knowledge
You are analytical, resourceful and structured
You are considered as problem-solving
You sound convincing and persuasive
COMPETENCIES:
You have a deep understanding of Software Engineering processes, methods and tools
You have already used Software Engineering workbenches within an operational context
You have a good technical culture, especially in software development
You have experience with scheduling and planning
You know how to make decisions
LIFE AS A THALES SOFTWARE PROCESSES, METHODS AND TOOLS SUPPORT ROLE
As a Software Processes, Methods and Tools Support Role within Thales, you will:
- Provide Software engineers and project managers with advice on engineering environment and configure workbenches for Software projects
- Act as a mentor to encourage apprenticeship, continuous improvement and feedback culture
- Set up environment where trust and transparency are key pillars
- Co-create and follow team performance and quality KPIs
- Train engineers on Software tooled-up processes, practices and methods
- Contribute to the capitalisation and continuous improvement of best practices and service offers (training sessions, guidelines, user manuals
- Participate in knowledge sharing such as webinar, writing article on engineering communities

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years' residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
