We are looking for child and family focused Social workers across our children's services. The Corporate Parenting team aims to safeguard and promote young people to support them to throughout their journey in care and to have successful independent lives into adulthood. Our teams manage complex cases and organise plans to meet the needs of children and young people through care plans and pathway plans. Corporate Parenting Social Workers are confident about working with partners within and outside of the Council to deliver effective and efficient services. We take responsibility for enabling contact arrangements and ensuring that health assessments and personal education plans are in place. Special requirements for this postThis post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including a Disclosure check. The postholder will need to have a social work degree and hold a current SWE (Formerly HCPC) registration.
About youYou are a passionate, caring and dedicated Social Worker; a good communicator who will have the ability to work with a broad range of professionals, including working respectfully with children, young people and their families. You are able to make evidenced based decisions and seek management advice when necessary. You are able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with children, young people, their families and other professionals.
