Beer Factory and Kitchen is fast becoming the go-to destination in Devon for awesome burgers, craft beer, and smokehouse food. Based at Hanlons Brewery in Half Moon Village, our quirky, independent, outdoor restaurant is known for its laid-back atmosphere, friendly service, and exceptional food and drink — earning us consistent reviews.

We're now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef to join our expanding kitchen team and help take us to the next level.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you'll be leading a passionate kitchen team, cooking with fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create our signature burgers and smokehouse dishes. Working alongside the brewery, you'll also get to pair our food with some of the best craft beers in Devon.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who thrives in a fun, energetic environment and loves delivering great food consistently.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Head Chef in a busy kitchen

Strong leadership and people management skills

A genuine passion for fresh, local food and creative cooking

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards

A friendly, team-focused attitude

Hours

40- 45 hours per week

Food service runs:

  • Thursday: 4pm – 9pm

  • Friday & Saturday: 12pm – 9pm
