Location: Dual Homes in Mansfield

Salary:

£14.80 to £15.90 per hour/£64.80 to £65.90 per sleeps (where required)

Up to £1000 Attendance Bonus

What You'll Do

As a Team Leader, you'll take the lead in providing a warm, stable, and therapeutic home environment for our young people. You'll support your team day-to-day, acting as a role model and guide to ensure that every child feels safe, respected and supported to thrive.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
  • Creating an inclusive, non-discriminatory environment where all children feel seen and valued
  • Using trauma-informed and PACE-based approaches in daily care
  • Acting as a Key Worker for individual young people, helping them achieve their care plan goals
  • Supporting educational, emotional and social development
  • Advocating for the voices and rights of each young person
  • Helping prepare young people for adulthood through life skills and resilience-building
  • Providing safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children in our care

Leadership Responsibilities

As a Team Leader you will also:

  • Lead shifts and provide on-the-ground supervision
  • Mentor, guide and support Residential Support Workers
  • Model excellent practice in care and communication
  • Assist in training and induction of new staff
  • Ensure quality record-keeping, report writing and care planning
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, positive and well-run home

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine passion for making a difference in young lives
  • Previous experience in residential childcare
  • Confidence in leading a shift and mentoring others
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and children's home regulations (Children's Homes Regulations 2015 & Quality Standards)
  • A flexible, calm and reliable approach to work
