The Flour Pot is a family-owned independent business with eleven stores across Brighton, Hove and Worthing, specialising in artisan bread, baked goods and speciality coffee. We are looking for someone to join our team in our store in Fiveways, Brighton. A firm favourite amongst locals and commuters, the cafe is open from 7:30am - 5pm daily. With shifts either being an open (6:30am - 3pm) a mid shift (8am - 5pm) or a close (9am - 6pm).

For you, every day is an opportunity to entice our customers to discover the superior taste and bite of our handcrafted loaves by our Bakers who are true crafts people, promote and sell our fantastic range of freshly homemade sweet and savoury products, alongside serving our very own roasted high-end coffee.

There is a fantastic opportunity to grow in our company, and many of our most committed staff have progressed to supervisor and management level.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages to customers, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory and assist in food preparation.
  • Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
  • Demonstrate effective time management to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service and enhance their experience.
