Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £28,000 – £29,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 10:30 PM – 10:30 AM (average 3–4 shifts per week)

At Liberi Care in Tottenham, we are looking for Waking Nights Support Workers to provide calm, consistent care for young people aged 10–17 with emotional or behavioural needs. Your presence overnight is vital in helping children feel safe, secure, and supported, creating the foundation for a brighter start each morning.

Your Role as a Waking Nights Support Worker

You will safeguard and support young people overnight, creating a calm, nurturing environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring the safety and wellbeing of young people through regular checks.
• Providing reassurance and emotional support throughout the night.
• Responding calmly to incidents or distress using trauma-informed approaches.
• De-escalating challenging behaviour and following safeguarding procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records of incidents, observations, and welfare concerns.
• Conducting room, fire, and perimeter checks to maintain a safe environment.
• Administering medication and updating MAR records.
• Completing domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Supporting breakfast preparation and morning routines.
• Delivering thorough handovers to ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Participating in mandatory training, supervision, and reflective sessions.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 1 year experience in residential childcare or a similar setting (preferred).
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it.
• Calm, nurturing, and observant approach with strong emotional resilience.
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed care.
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.
