Our recently graded Outstanding school is looking for someone who is positive; goes above and beyond for our children; with an exceptional track record in supporting teaching and learning; and the ability to inspire and motivate small groups of children with Autism and moderate learning difficulties.

About the roleWe are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to support a small group of children with complex learning needs in Explorers class. Children in this group experience a blended approach of play-based learning alongside some integrated lessons in the mainstream classroom. We require a teaching assistant with current working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage to support our lead practitioner, whilst also supporting these children to access learning when back in the mainstream classroom. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for someone looking to apply their existing knowledge of Early Years teaching principles, whilst extending their experience to working with primary aged pupils in KS2.

You are someone who goes above and beyond for the children in your care, putting them at the heart of every decision. You are ambitious and motivated to improve the learning outcomes for every child. You have excellent communication skills and with support, has the confidence to deliver a creative curriculum for a small group of children working significantly outside their age expectation.
