Summary:

An Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation equipment used in industrial environments. The E&I Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial equipment and processes.  This role will report directly to the supervisor or Electrical Engineering.

What you'll do:
Install, calibrate, and commission electrical and instrumentation equipment, such as sensors, transmitters, controllers, switches, and variable frequency drives.Install and troubleshoot PLC equipment and processes, and be able to install and calibrate plant instrumentation, such as level transmitters, flow meters, and pressure sensors.Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and control wiring diagrams.Set up control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.Conduct routine maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems to prevent downtime.Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems, such as motors, drives, and control circuits.Perform adjustments, recalibrations, and replacements of malfunctioning instruments, ensuring optimal performance.Test, calibrate, and validate various instruments to ensure they meet accuracy and functionality standards.Use diagnostic tools and calibration equipment to monitor and adjust system performance.Record calibration data and maintain detailed logs and reports for future reference.Adhere to industry safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and NEC.Participate in risk assessments, ensuring safe operation of electrical and instrumentation systems.Identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to ensure a safe work environment.Maintain records of all maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.Assist with the creation and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve system efficiency.  
What we're looking for:
Technical diploma, associate degree, or certification in electrical, instrumentation, or a related field required.  Formal technical training or experience in a related field of 2 years may be considered in lieu of this requirement. 2+ years in an industrial environment, with hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance.Proficiency with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation standards (e.g., ISA, NEC).Ability to use diagnostic and calibration tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, and loop calibrators). Strong problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.Must be willing and able to work additional hours over 48 when needed.Must be willing and able to provide some tools.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 15-35 lbs frequently.
