Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent and reliable School Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a primary school. This role requires strong organisational skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure that all areas are kept as clean as possible.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in a primary school, including offices, staffrooms, toilets, classrooms and communal areas.
  • Dust, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Dispose of waste materials and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
  • Clean windows, doors, and other glass surfaces to enhance the overall appearance of the premises.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and children.

Skills

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas that require cleaning or maintenance.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
