We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and other material structures on-site and in workshops. IDEALLY somebody that can sand and paint , finnishing

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry and joinery to contribute to diverse projects, including roofing, masonry, and electrical installations. The position requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and efficient project completion.

Duties sanding and painting

  • Fabricate bespoke components using hand tools and power tools according to technical drawings and specifications
  • Assemble structures such as frameworks, partitions, and fixtures with precision
  • Install joinery elements including doors, windows, staircases, and cabinetry on-site or in workshops
  • Perform roofing tasks, ensuring proper alignment and secure fixing of materials
  • Conduct heavy lifting of materials and components safely during installation or transport within the site
  • Assist with construction painting, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work as required for integrated projects
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety standards are upheld at all times
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to deadlines

Skills

  • Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and joinery techniques
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers
  • Skilled in operating power tools including drills, sanders, and saws safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials suitable for various building types
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining good physical condition
  • Experience with construction painting, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications for accurate assembly
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team whilst maintaining high standards of safety and quality

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
