Head of R&D Tax (Finance Related)

Are you an experienced R&D tax manager looking for a new challenge? Do you have a strong background in accounting and finance, and a passion for innovation and research?

You could be the ideal person for the Head of R&D Tax position that Grant Foster is exclusively recruiting for.

Our client is a leading financial consulting firm that helps clients claim R&D tax credits from HMRC. They are looking for a Head of R&D Tax to join their team in the London office and lead the growing team of R&D tax specialists.

You will be responsible for:
. Managing the delivery of high-quality R&D tax claims for a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors and industries
. Expanding the team by hiring, training, and mentoring junior R&D tax consultants
. Developing and implementing best practices and processes to ensure compliance and minimise enquiries from HMRC
. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, HMRC, and other stakeholders
. Providing strategic advice and guidance on R&D tax matters to senior management and clients

To be successful in this role, you will need:
. A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent)
. At least 4 years of experience in R&D tax consulting, preferably in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm
. A proven track record of delivering complex R&D tax claims and managing client expectations
. A deep understanding of the UK R&D tax legislation and HMRC guidance
. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
. A proactive, analytical, and problem-solving mindset
