Job Title: School Cleaner on a Temp to Perm contract

Location: Edinburgh, EH15

Hours of Work: hrs per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6am - 8am OR 4pm - 9pm

Overview:

We are seeking a conscientious and dedicated Cleaner to join our site team. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors across the school premises.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK MONDAY - FRIDAY

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
  • Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, and toilet facilities to a high standard.
  • Ensure all areas are maintained in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Handle cleaning materials and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the Site Supervisor or Business Manager.

Person Specification:

  • Previous cleaning experience (essential).
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A high level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent awareness of health and safety procedures in a cleaning environment.
  • Must be able to pass full vetting checks in line with safeguarding requirements.
  • Applicants must have no criminal convictions.

Full vetting and background checks will be undertaken, including an enhanced DBS check, prior to appointment.
