Contract: Bank Nurse
Make a real difference delivering high-quality cancer care in patients' homes.
If you're an experienced, NMC-registered nurse who thrives on independence and wants to support patients with some oncology/chemotherapy experience. We have a great opportunity for regular weekday work over the next 3-6 months.
At HomeLink Healthcare, we've been providing outstanding Hospital at Home services in partnership with the NHS and private healthcare providers since 2016. Our mission is simple: help patients recover comfortably at home, avoid unnecessary admissions, and improve health outcomes.
What you'll get:
- Paid mileage/travel costs from home (45p per mile)
- Full clinical support in a team-focused environment
We're proud to foster an inclusive and supportive culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive. We celebrate diversity and neurodiversity in healthcare and are committed to ensuring that both our colleagues and our patients are treated with respect and compassion.
About the Role: Community Oncology Nurse:
As a Community Oncology Nurse, you'll provide safe, compassionate care to patients receiving SACT in their own homes. You'll work autonomously while collaborating with cancer consultants, CNSs, pharmacists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver expert, holistic care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pre-chemotherapy blood sampling and monitoring of treatment responses
- Safe management of IV therapy and central venous access devices (Port-a-Cath, PICC lines)
- Monitoring patient conditions, updating records, and escalating concerns promptly
- Providing emotional support, guidance, and practical advice to patients and families
- Participating in MDTs, handovers, and clinical governance activities
- Promoting health, wellbeing, and patient independence throughout the treatment pathway
You'll Need
- Active NMC registration
- At least 3 years post-registration experience
- Competence in venepuncture, cannulation, and IV drug administration
- Experience with central venous catheters (Port-a-Cath, PICC) essential
- Experience in oncology/SACT nursing desired
- Community or home-based nursing experience desirable
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
About You
We're looking for compassionate, collaborative, and patient-focused nurses. You'll have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality cancer care in the community.
Why Join HomeLink Healthcare?
At HomeLink Healthcare, : We are a clinician-led, patient-focused organisation, every role contributes to transforming care outside of hospitals. We're proud to foster an inclusive, supportive culture, underpinned by our commitments to:

- Create an inclusive culture where colleagues and patients feel safe, supported, and valued
If you want to make a tangible impact on the future of community oncology care, we'd love to hear from you.
Closing date 18th December:
