SEN Learning Mentor
- Special school
- SEMH students
- Mostly 1-1 support
- Immediate start
- KS3 students
We work on behalf of a fantastic specialist setting that provides an alternative to mainstream schools, looking after students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs & ASD.
The school are growing in numbers term by term, so are in need of candidates that are looking for work in an specialist setting. We have a couple of teachers working there at the moment who are absolutely loving their time there. They particularly love that the classes are small, so you can provide individualised support.
The role
The role of Learning Mentor is essential in these children's development in becoming young adults. You will be expected to provide individualised support to the students in their educational and personal development.
You will be supporting students across a range of different subjects but it is not essential that you are a particular subject specialist. Due to the needs of the students it is vital that you have worked with SEMH students before and feel confident in managing challenging behaviour. A few of these students also have fairly complex ASD, so experience in this area is a bonus
Working with Long Term Teachers:
We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
LTT was founded with the aim of creating a genuine, transparent and straightforward service to help candidates secure their next role. We place a huge emphasis on delivering an exceptional service where you will be supported, listened to and valued throughout.
Your dedicated consultant will invest time to understand your experience, skill-set and what your ideal role looks like. You will have frequent updates with your progress through compliance, applications for specific roles as well as receiving additional information on roles which we feel may be of interest to you.
We are proud members of the REC and we have the highest standard of compliance. Working with us means you will get the very best support and guidance through the clearance process from your own specific point of contact from our in-house compliance team.
