The Role:
Ready to shape something exciting from day one? Join us and help build Aptia's consulting practice from the ground up.
Building on our long-established and award-winning Administration business, Aptia will deliver full pensions consulting and administration services focussed passionately on solving client demands.
As a Consulting Actuary, you'll lead client engagements and deliver strategic actuarial advice to trustees and sponsors of defined benefit pension schemes. This is a chance to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-growing practice.
This is a hybrid working role, which can be aligned with any Aptia UK office.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver tailored advice on scheme funding, accounting disclosures, de-risking, and governance.
- Build long-term relationships with trustees and corporate sponsors.
- Identify opportunities to create wider consulting and administration solutions.
- Support new business development and contribute to proposals and pitches.
- Mentor junior actuarial staff and help shape our consulting capabilities.
What we're looking for:
- FIA qualification (Scheme Actuary certificate preferred).
- Significant experience in pensions consulting across diverse schemes.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver value-added solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
