Role: Senior Liability Adjuster

Location: Glasgow (Hybrid)
Salary: Competitive

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Lawes are looking for an experienced senior liability adjuster who is interested in joining the specialist liability and casualty team of a leading claims management company in Glasgow (hybrid working).

This global organisation handles a wide spectrum of liability claims from everyday incidents such as slips and trips to complex cases involving third-party liability in catastrophic events. The position offers a hybrid working model, combining time in their Glasgow offices with the flexibility of working from home. Experience of EL and PL claims essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Proactively manage and resolve a diverse portfolio of third-party liability claims, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine liability, while offering clear guidance and support to policyholders within agreed timeframes.
  • Handle a varied caseload comprising employers' liability and public liability claims, including both report-only and full lifecycle (cradle-to-grave) cases.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) and engaging with clients and brokers to facilitate efficient claims resolution.
  • Identify and overcome process barriers, taking ownership to resolve issues and gather all necessary documentation to support prompt claim settlement or denial.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives through professional service delivery and stakeholder engagement.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven ability to handle the full range of EL / PL and product liability claims including claims involving third party property damage
  • Extensive experience of writing investigation reports
  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance market, especially liability claims
  • Reputation and technical expertise gained within the adjusting market
  • Strong communication and negotiation skill
  • Good IT skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Full UK driving licence
