Job DescriptionThe on-site Facilities Support Technician plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site by supporting the Facilities team in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. This role involves hands-on support, coordination with contractors, and proactive maintenance of facilities and services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with the daily upkeep and presentation of the site, including general maintenance and minor repairs.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to facilities-related requests from staff and escalate where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service visits.
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies and place orders as required.
- Support emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid equipment checks.
- Assist with waste management and recycling initiatives across the site.
- Monitor and report any building or equipment issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or site support role.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills (e.g., email, spreadsheets, maintenance logging systems
- Hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle
£16,000 per annum (24 hours per week)
- Monday - Friday working pattern
- Available to work on weekends when required
