Veterinary Referral Clinician
We are looking for a full time or part time Advanced Practitioner in medicine/diagnostic imaging to join our dynamic, dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Referral team. The successful candidate will join 3 other Advanced Practitioners in Medicine and a dedicated RVN as well as an established group of advanced practitioners in surgery, ECC, diagnostic imaging, dentistry and cardiology seeing a growing number of internal and external referrals to the local area.
The medical team have access to a wide range of advanced imaging equipment including Vivid E9 and Philips Affiniti ultrasound machines, a comprehensive range of Storz endoscopy equipment including rigid and flexible endoscopes, a Siemens CT scanner, DR radiography and a fully equipped in house laboratory. The medical and surgical teams are supported by "Norwich Night Vet", our own in house 24 hour ECC service.
The Practice Team
You'll be joining a talented and friendly team of 34 vets with 8 new graduates, supported by 41 RVNs, and a further 35 support staff who help everything run seamlessly. We take pride in our warm, welcoming culture where experience is shared freely, and every team member is valued.
Outside of work, we're a sociable bunch who enjoy spending time together, whether that's through regular team events, nights out, or running marathons together. It's this spirit of support and friendship that makes Taverham such a special place to work.
Growing Together and Giving Back
We're proud to support our community and give back through partnerships with organisations such as StreetVet, Greyhound Homefinders, RSPCA, and Cats Protection. We believe that community connection is a vital part of veterinary life, and our team loves getting involved in local charity work and outreach.
We also meet monthly for communication days to ensure we stay connected, aligned, and inspired because when our team thrives, our patients benefit most.
Flexible Working That Fits Around You
Our vets usually work between the hours of 8:30am and 6:30pm and most choose to work their 40 hours over 4 days, however we are happy to discuss working patterns and part time hours as we understand how important a good work life balance is. There is a share of 1:4 weekends and you would be required to work 2 Bank Holidays per year at the main hospital with time off in lieu for these shifts.
